A Forward

Someone posted this and I liked it!

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. So send this to all of your friends (and me) in the next 5 minutes and a miracle will happen tonight.

Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

High

We had a 9th grader show up high today for our after school program. Sometimes I can't believe that this is even a problem... sometimes I wonder why its not a larger problem than it is... makes me sad.

Poor Kid
Tuesday, October 10, 2006, 09:59 PM
I was on my way to the park via a ride on a Fortress van with the kiddos today. We pulled around the elementary school that is close to Fortress on the way.... at the corner of the small playground there was a kid standing.. a young boy... no one else... he looked lost... So. I hopped out of the van and started talking to him. His name was Jay Jay and his bus driver had dropped him off at the school from another school so his mom could pick him up... however, it had been a while... so i walked him inside the school where we managed to track down someone on the phone (not a parent) via contacting his school... i'm glad i hopped out of the van because he sure came with me easily... i think he would have went with anyone. Not a good thing in our neighborhood. He was in Kindergarden.
